With this project, I definitely wanted to do something simple and fun that anyone could recreate. With an oil based fine marker, I did free hand lettering on the exterior of the case. When it was dry, I went back and shaded the down strokes with a thick black line to add some drama to my phone case with this fake calligraphy look.

My favorite part was putting it on my phone. The contrast of gold and black was quite dramatic and pretty so I was pleased with the results of this ten minute diy project.

Materials

• Clear phone case
• Oil based black sharpie fine marker

How to make it

Step 1: Either sketch or simple write directly on the phone case your quote

Let it dry for 10-15 mins

With the marker again, shade the down strokes of your word to create a dramatic calligraphy look

Let dry another 10-15 mins
