Upcycled Cookie Sheet Menu Board

Washi Chick

I decided to upcycle an old cookie sheet into a chic menu board, to help streamline our menu planning process. I liked the idea of having magnets with our favorite meals, that way we can quickly choose the meals for the week. It is also easy to quickly rearrange the menu mid-week when needed.

I was very happy with the way the menu board came out. I had a great time making the magnets for the meals. The best part is you can store the extra meals on the back and just flip it over to choose next weeks meals!

Materials

  • Old Cookie Sheet
  • Sand Paper
  • Spray Paint
  • Cardstock
  • Washi Tape
  • Magnet Paper

How to make it

Step 1: Sand surface of the cookie sheet and punch hole.

Step 2: Spray paint cookie sheet.

Step 3: Cut letters from cardstock with cutting machine. I chose to spray paint the letters gold.

Step 4: Place strips of washi tape on magnet paper.

Step 5: Cut strips for magnets.

Step 6: Add labels with meals.

Step 7: Attach letters to cookie sheet with spray adhesive.

Step 8: That's all. Each week, place your meals next to each day. Store the extra magnets on the back side of cookie sheet.
