Materials

  • Scissors
  • E6000 Glue
  • Small brush
  • 2 Washers about 1 inch in diameter
  • Stud posts
  • Various rhinestones in circular and rectangular shapes
  • Stringed rhinestones

How to make it

Step 1: Using the small paintbrush, apply E6000 to the back of the largest rhinestone and stick to the centre of one of the washers. Repeat for the other washer. Gradually, build the pattern of the earring around this central stone. We used a large circular stone for the centre and then placed 4 rectangular stones around it.

Step 2: Carefully apply the E6000 to the back of a small portion of the stringed rhinestones. Be careful not to breathe too much of this stuff in- we learned the hard way that you should wear a mask. Begin wrapping the stringed rhinestones around the perimeter of the washer and your already glued stones. We wrapped the stringed rhinestones around twice giving the edge of the earring a finished look and hiding the washer base completely.

Step 3: Snip the end of the stringed rhinestones when they have been wrapped and glued around the perimeter. Leave the earrings to dry for about 30 minutes.

Step 4: Using the E6000, glue the stud post to the back of the washer closer to the top of the earring back rather than the centre. Leave again for 30 minutes to dry.

Step 5: Wear them! Your earrings are sparkling and ready to go!
