Old tires are actually quite versatile and can be used for so many different projects once they are no longer safe on the road. Since throwing old tires away in landfills or building stockpiles can have a detrimental effect on the environment, finding ways to recycle and reuse them is essential! If you don’t have a tire recycling program in your idea, the following projects can help you find new ways to use your old tires.

Another great way to furnish your home with recycled tires is by adding a little rope! Your guests will never know it is made from a tire – until of course you proudly tell them!

For this project you are going to need a truck tire to build your round couch! We would never have guessed there was a tire in the middle of that stylish design.
5. DIY Dog Bed from a Recycled Tire
Here at Makeful we love DIY pet projects, so of course we had to include this dog bed! A tire is the perfect size for a cozy place for your pooch to relax.
This tire planter is a great way to add some color to your garden! The best part is that if your tire still has the rim, you can use it as a stand.
Upcycled tires can also make great hanging planters. Give them new life with some bright paint and you’re ready to go!
