DIY Gold Lettered Vintage Plates

The Sweet Escape

Go digging at your local thrift shop and upcycle vintage plates with gold leaf! Choose any phrase you’d like to personalize your room.

Materials

Step 1: Print out letters in your favourite font

Step 2: Cut out stencil

Step 3: Apply double sided tape to all edges

Step 4: Place stencil on plate. Smooth down all edges

Step 5: Cover exposed plate & spray glue letter

Step 6: Apply gold leaf (or spray paint or marker) as per instructions

Step 7: Carefully remove the stencil
