I recently received a groovy little surprise tote bag in the post from Canadian lifestyle specialty channel Makeful with the challenge to transform it into a personalized piece of awesomeness. (I think I succeeded =O)

Materials

• a vintage hankie
• felt (or non-fraying fabric scraps)
• a leftover pocket
• vintage sewing themed charms
• embroidery needle & thread
• sewing machine

How to make it

Step 1: I searched through my stash and grabbed a vintage hankie, felt, a leftover pocket and the vintage sewing themed charms that I’d been saving for ages. Then simply chopped out a mini me from the felt bits and stitched and embroidered it all together!

Step 2: I love those little charms – it really pays to sort through and keep a well organized stash!
