Personalized place setting

My daughter is loves rare and unusual things. She just acquired an apartment near my home so that she has some where to stay when her, her husband and baby come home to visit. They need to furnish it. I had a bunch of Corelle dishes I was giving her. I had been working on some mugs and the next thing you know I got out the Corelle and started to go to town.
I loved coming up with the designs. I will have a place setting for 4, each one a different design.

Materials

  • Dishes
  • Rubbing alchohol
  • Oil based paint markers
  • Glass paint markers
  • Oven

How to make it

Step 1: Clean dish with rubbing alchohol to make sure all traces of grease from fingers etc are off.

Step 2: Draw the outline of your design on your dish in black fine point oil based marker.

Step 3: Use glass paint markers to colour in areas you would like to.

Step 4: Use an extra fine top oil based marker to create the doodles within the coloured areas or outside the coloured area as you see I did with the dashes.
