I knew I wanted to paint but it was not until I recieved my package in the mail that I found my inspiration for the project.
The material was not what I expected, the holes in the fabric threw me for a loop. I was going to free hand but was not sure how the fabric would hold the acrylic paint. I decided to sponge stamp for the project.
Materials
- Acrylic paint
- Paint brush
- Fabric markers
- Ribbon
- Plastic organza fabric
- No sew hem tape
- Iron
- Thread
How to make it
Step 1: Cut sponges into desired shapes, select colour palet and sketch out stamp placements.
Apply paint to sponges and start stampen' !

Step 2: After pain has dried, trace around each stamped object to add character, depth and colour. Let dry!

Step 3: Measure out ribbon and no sew hem tape.
Line up hem take and ribbon to desired location.
Iron in LOW heat until ribbon adheres to apron.
Note* holes will burn into the apron if direct contact is made from the iron.
I was able to not use any hem tape on the arms as the plastic like fabric from the apron gently melted and attached to the b&w ribbon.

Step 4: Cut two small squares of plastic organza material.
Gather in centre to create a fm all flower.
Sew into desired location on apron.
