You can never have too many spoons! This simple DIY makes a great gift for the host who loves color.

Materials

• Wooden spoons
• Acrylic craft paint
• Sand paper
• Masking tape

How to make it

Step 1: Give the spoons a quick sand with some fine-grade sandpaper to get some of the splinters and rough edges off.

Step 2: Measure to see where the paint should go.

Step 3: Use masking tape along the line you measured and press it down securely to make sure the paint wouldn't bleed under.

Step 4: Set up a palette in an old pie pan.

Step 5: Then paint! Leave an hour between coats to make sure it dries properly.
