Materials

  • An old dresser
  • Scrap Wood
  • MDF boards
  • old drawer handles
  • Bricks
  • Hammer
  • Nails

How to make it

Step 1: Remove drawers from dresser and take them apart

Step 2: Use MDF boards to cover any open parts of the back of the dresser.

Step 3: Add scrap wood or part of an old piece of furniture to the bottom of the dresser to close it up and provide a back rest. Then use the back and sides from one of the drawers to create a mini bench inside the sandbox.

Step 4: Attach the remaining drawer pieces to create a fitted lid for the sandbox.

Step 5: Apply two coats of waterproof paint to the entire sandbox.

Step 6: Attach the drawer handles to the sandbox lid.
